Deactivating a data room is exactly what it sounds like. By doing so, it no longer grants any users access to the files and/or folders associated with the data room.
Who can deactivate a data room?
Only admins and/or users with the Manage Users & Settings permission enabled have the power to deactivate a data room.
Can files or reports be downloaded before deactivating?
Yes, prior to deactivating a data room, the admins will be able to choose and download from the following options (check all that apply):
- A copy of all files & folders
- Analytics report
- File index report
- Users, Permission Groups and Audit Trail reports
Note: Even though the data room itself is no longer accessible after deactivation, users with the Manage Users & Settings permission will be able to access analytics indefinitely. All other export options, such as bulk downloading, will no longer be available.
How long does it take to download the files and/or folders?
Generally, downloading files and/or folders can take a few minutes. However, note that if the data room size is rather large, it can take longer for the system to generate the zip file.
