The Audit Trail provides admins an immutable log of all activity in the data room, from log ins and downloads to changes in users, permissions and settings.
Who can access the Audit Trail?
The Audit Trail is only accessible to data room admins and users with the "Manage Users & Settings" permission enabled.
How do you access the Audit Trail?
- Register / Login to www.dealvdr.com
- In the My Data Rooms table, hover over the applicable data room and click the Settings ⚙ icon.
- Within Settings, select Audit Trail
What information is captured in the audit trail?
The Audit Trail logs the following user activities with a timestamp, email, and IP address:
- Log ins
- Individual and bulk file and folder downloads and uploads
- File previews
- File and folder moves, copies, renames, deletions
- User additions and removals
- Permission Group creations, edits and removals
Audit Trail logs can be filtered by Event or IP address using the search bar.
